Students in year 12 & 13 are all encouraged to arrange some work experience in their spare time. This will give them ‘real life’ experience and help them with any University or job applications.

 

In our 6th form we offer a range of Vocational Subjects where lengthy and purposeful Work Experience is required as part of the course and therefore arranged by school.

 

As part of the Childcare courses students will attend a placement in a primary school.

 

Health & Social Care students will spend time working with both children and the elderly.

 

Business/Law students will gain experience in an office environment with the emphasis being business and/or Law.

Public Services students attend placements working within the community.

 

We have fantastic links with a lot of the local schools, nurseries and care homes along with local businesses and community centres.

All placements must be checked for Health & Safety and a risk assessment produced by Bradford Council however if you feel, as a business that you would be interested in offering a place to a young person then please contact school.
