Belle Vue Girls' Academy is popular and oversubscribed, with regularly over 200 applications for our 180 places in Year 7 (we continue to be full in all year groups). Our Admissions Policy into Year 7 follows that of Education Bradford, which defines our priority by areas, by age and by need.)

Data Protection and the GDPR: Privacy Notice
Belle Vue Girls’ Academy values the data it holds on students, parents, employees and contractors and maintains secure procedures to ensure it is held safely. We review these procedures annually at the start of each calendar year. All computer users have individual login AND passwords to identify users and ensure no-one else is able to access their data. Our ICT and data policy is designed to make sure we hold only essential data in order to manage the academy and that no-one can access it without authorisation. We employ up-to-date anti-virus and anti malware firewalls which are managed by dedicated specialist staff.

Whilst our website is held and managed through the internet, no sensitive data is ever uploaded to it and we respond quickly and effectively to any requests to correct or remove content when appropriate. We do find out the number of visitors to various pages of the site. This information is only processed in a way which does not identify anyone. We do not make, and do not allow Google to make, any attempt to find out the identities of those visiting our website.
No data is gathered other than to carry out the normal work of the academy and any additional information that may be provided for trips or extra activities, it is kept only for the length of time required and then shredded.
You are entitled to make a request to view, amend, or delete the personal information that we hold and this will be reviewed by our Data Controller. Email your request to our data protection officer Paul Hazard at pha@bvg.ngfl.ac.uk.

Lockdown staff training
​
In line with Government Policy, the staff and students of Belle Vue Girls' Academy are being trained how to respond to a direct threat to the academy including the use of a detailed slide show presentation and lockdown practice.

Staff at Belle Vue Girls' Academy are being trained in their rights and responsibilities under the new General Data Protection regulation through one-to-one conversations and group training including the use of an introductory slide show presentation.
